Rubitt is intended for individuals who are 13 years or older. If you are under 18, you may use Rubitt only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Rubitt provides tools that allow you to:

• Record lectures or audio
• Upload documents (PDFs, slides, Word docs, and notes)
• Generate transcripts
• Create notes, flashcards, quizzes, and study materials
• Access AI-powered tutoring and comprehension tools
• Sync and organize your academic calendar via Syllabus Sync
• Organize academic content for your courses

Features may evolve over time.

To use Rubitt, you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Any activity occurring under your account
• Notifying us immediately of unauthorized access

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

"User Content" includes any lectures, audio recordings, transcripts, notes, study materials, messages, or other content you upload or create using the Service.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By using Rubitt, you grant us a limited license to:

• Store your User Content
• Process it to generate transcripts, notes, flashcards, quizzes, or assessments
• Display it within your account

This license exists solely to operate and improve the Service. We do not sell or use your content to train external AI models.

Rubitt stores recordings, transcripts, notes, flashcards, quizzes, and other User Content in order to operate the Service.

Our long-term data retention policy is still being finalized. At minimum:

• User Content will be stored while your account is active
• You may request deletion of your account and associated content
• Deleted accounts will be permanently removed within a reasonable period

We may update our retention policy as Rubitt evolves.

Rubitt uses artificial intelligence to generate:

• Study notes
• Flashcards
• Quizzes
• Comprehension assessments
• Chat-based tutoring responses

AI output may contain inaccuracies or errors. You agree to independently verify any important or academic information.

Rubitt is not responsible for academic outcomes or losses resulting from reliance on AI-generated content.

You agree not to:

• Upload harmful, illegal, or infringing content
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to access systems without authorization
• Reverse-engineer or misuse any part of Rubitt
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others

Violations may result in account suspension or termination.

If you purchase a paid subscription:

• Prices, permitted usage, and billing cycles will be shown at checkout
• You authorize recurring billing until cancellation
• Pricing may change with prior notice
• All purchases are final, unless required by law

Rubitt may:

• Add, modify, or remove features
• Perform maintenance that affects availability
• Discontinue parts of the Service

We will attempt to provide notice when possible. Rubitt is not liable for downtime, service interruptions, or changes.

All Rubitt software, content, branding, and design elements are owned by Rubitt or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service.

You may stop using Rubitt at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• You misuse the Service
• We discontinue the Service

Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends.

Rubitt is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee:

• Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
• Continuous or error-free operation
• Compatibility with all devices
• That bugs or errors will be corrected

You use the Service at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rubitt is not liable for:

• Loss of data
• Academic performance or outcomes
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content

Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid in the previous six months (if any).

You agree to indemnify and hold Rubitt harmless from any claims arising out of:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your User Content

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If material changes are made, we will provide notice by posting the updated version on the website or app.

Continued use of Rubitt means you accept the updated Terms.
